THE BORO

2021

In 2021, Jessie & Katey transformed the streetscape of The Boro Tysons in McLean, Virginia, by creating one of the largest public art murals in the entire Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Commissioned by The Boro and facilitated by D.C.-area art broker Art Whino, this massive urban intervention was designed to infuse joy, energy, and a sense of shared community into the neighborhood. True to their architectural-response style, the sprawling piece flows dynamically across massive exterior surfaces, creating an immersive visual anchor for daily commuters on the Metro, local shoppers, and residents alike.

Utilizing strict mathematical geometry scaled from tiny sketches to massive walls, the design integrates naturally with the building's specific windows and corners, making the monumental scale feel cohesive rather than forced.
