DOUBLE DELIGHT
2021
Commissioned by Boston Properties and curated by Selbert Perkins Design, Kendall Square Portal transforms two 27-foot architectural walls into a playful gateway through Kendall Plaza. Designed as part of the redevelopment of 325 Main Street, the murals were among the first public art installations commissioned for the district's evolving public spaces.
Inspired by the movement, innovation, and architecture of Kendall Square, the compositions use bold geometry and illusion to create the feeling of dimensional forms emerging from the wall. As people move through the plaza, the murals shift with their perspective, inviting moments of curiosity, exploration, and play.
